A good turnout for our first pre season get together in preparation for our "European tour" to County Mayo for our game on Saturday 30th July.

After a brief stretching warm up, then running up and down the 3 five – aside pitches twice the teams were picked and game started . Just as well our trainee physio Adrian Ward (who is currently on placement at Richmond Hospital) turned up, with Karl McGee and Dan Healey on opposite teams the passion and commitment and “friendly tackles” began. (Jon Carey will love this). Darren Nolan soon showed his skills out field after conceding 3 quick goals, Mick Coffey stroked the ball around, Liam Kelly showed he still has the passion for the game and the team, whilst Martin Flannery lasted longer than his last game though eventually the “injury took hold”. Once Johnny Flynn shook the gaelic out of his system , he showed he could be a big asset to the team this coming season………………….after and hour or so it was first one to 10 to win with the greens coming out on top this week, not forgetting 12 year old Ben who stood in goal for the greens.
