UEFA EURO 2012
The qualifying draw for the UEFA EURO 2012 Championship will take place in Warsaw on Sunday 7 February 2010. The competition finals will be co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine during the summer of 2012. The qualification process will take place from September 2010 to November 2011.
The qualifying process will comprise six groups of six ( Groups A-F) and three groups of five (Groups G-I). The nine group winners and the best runner-up will autimatically qualify for the finals. The eight remaining runners-up will contest two-legged play-off matches to determine the final four qualifiers.
For the February draw, fifty one countries will be allocated to six pots. Pots 1-5 will contain nine countries while Pot 6 will have the six remaining countries. The classification for Pot allocation is on the basis of the UEFA rankings following completion of the World Cup 2010 qualifying process on 18 November 2009.
