St Kevin's Boys through in SFAI Cup heartstopper...30/03/2008
This afternoon's quarter-final of the SFAI Evans Cup between St Kevin's Boys and Cork side Corinthian Boys proved to be a thriller. The game finished 2-2 after extra time, with the RISSC sponsored St Kevin's twice coming from behind, through goals from Conor Carberry and Ethan Mannion. The penalty shoot-out ended 5-4 in favour of St Kevin's, with Carberry and Mannion again on target, together with Jean Biansumba, Jeff Hendrick and Eoin Wearen. The Club's Major League team went down 5-2 to Premier League side St Joseph's Boys in another quarter-final earlier today.


RISSC (London) trounce Manchester City SC...30/03/2008
The Club sponsored football team scored an emphatic five nil victory over relegation rivals Manchester City SC at the LPR Sports Ground this afternoon. The rout was lead by hat trick hero Mick Dunford, who was joined on the scoresheet by Mauricio Carillo and Ray Logue

Irish Women defeat Poland in 2008 Algarve Cup ...10/03/2008
A thirty fifth minute strike from skipper Ciara Grant secured a one nil victory for the Ireland's Women team in their final group fixture against Poland on Monday afternoon. The two sides will meet again in the Arsenia Catuna Complex, Guia at 10.00am on Wednesday to determine bottom position in the 2008 Algarve Cup.


FAI appoint Bobby Robson as Ambassador...09/03/2008
It has been announced that Bobby Robson is to become an Ambassador for the FAI. The position will require the 75 year old Robson to contribute to the development of a high-performance strategy for elite players. He will also provide guidance and support to Technical Staff and younger elite players upon establishment of the National Academy at Abbotstown.

DDSL league leaders St Kevin's Boys scored an emphatic 7-1 victory over bottom side Confey at the AUL Complex this morning. Goals from Jeff Hendrick, Ethan Mannion, Eoin Wearen and a brace each from Conor Murphy and Sean Stewart set the seal on this emphatic victory

Newcomers Sporting Fingal open League campaign...08/03/2008
The new North Dublin soccer entity, Sporting Fingal, play their first competitive match when they travel to Flancare Park this evening to meet relegated Longford Town at 7.30pm in their opening eircom League of Ireland First Division fixture. The midland region will also see Athlone Town host Kildare County in Lissywoollen at 7.00pm

Women crash to Iceland in Algarve Cup...07/03/2008
The Ireland Women's team crashed to their second defeat, when they went down 1-4 to Iceland in round two of the 2008 Algarve Cup played in the Municipal Stadium, Lagos on Friday afternoon.

Brady joins International Management team...07/03/2008
Irish footballing legend Liam Brady, was this morning formally appointed to assist new International Team Manager, Giovanni Trapattoni. Following discussions with Chief Executive John Delaney, Brady has agreed a two year contract with a further two year option. Speaking this morning, Liam Brady said, " Trapattoni wants me to work with the players, which is of most interest to me, and also to be on the bench and in the dressing room during games. He sees me as someone he can talk to along with Marco Tardelli. I will aslo be part of the scouting network and will be going to as many games as I can, to monitor the players in the squad and also track the progress of up and coming players."

The Ireland Women's team was defeated 2-0 by hosts Portugal in their opening game of the 2008 Algarve Cup played in the Estadio Algarve, Faro on Wednesday afternoon

DDSL Cup shock for St Kevin's Boys...02/03/2008
The quarter-final of the DDSL Conway Cup produced a shock this morning, when lack lustre league leaders St Kevin's Boys were knocked out by Shelbourne. Despite taking a second half lead through Anthony Bolger, the boys were pegged back and the sides finished one each in ordinary time. Shelbourne scored the winner in extra time

Woe for RISSCD as League encounter conceded...02/03/2008
A combination of injuries and late unadvised withdrawals cost RISSC dear this morning, as the Club was forced to concede their vital league encounter against Aberdeen SC.
The Clubs played a friendly fixture which ended 2 each, with the RISSC goals coming from Mick Dunford and Mauricio Carillo
