Under 15 International debutants squad…29/01/2008
Republic of Ireland Under 15 manager Vincent Butler has announced his squad for the inaugural FAI Midlands International Tournament to be played in Athlone and Tullamore from 12 to 15 February 2008.

Stephanie Curtis to the rescue for Irish Women...27/01/2008
Bristol Academy star Stephanie Curtis continued her purple patch of goalscoring with a merited equaliser for the Republic of Ireland Senior Women's side in their 1-1 draw with Holland at the Frank Cooke Complex this afternoon. The contest was the first in a triple bill of friendlies in preparation for the EURO 2009 qualifying match-up with Italy in Sardinia on Saturday 16 February 2008. Ireland face Poland in John Hyland Park, Baldonnel at 3.00pm on Saturday next 2 February 2008 and then meet European Club champions Arsenal in Dalymount Park at 7.45pm on Thursday 7 February 2008.

2008 Eircom League of Ireland fixtures...25/01/2008
The Football Asscoiation of Ireland today released the fixture list for the 2008 season which will kick-off on Friday 7 March 2008. Reigning champions Drogheda United will open their Premier Division campaign against Shamrock Rovers in United Park. The First Division will also commence that evening with one of the highlights being the South East derby meeting of Wexford Youths and Waterford United in Ferrycarrig Park.

U21 squad to face England in Southampton…24/01/2008
The Under 21 squad for the UEFA qualifier against England in Southampton on Tuesday 5 February 2008 has been announced. With Don Givens in charge of the senior side on the following evening, Under 19 manager Sean McCaffrey will take charge of Ireland.

McCarthy and Scannell in U19 squad…23/01/2008
The Republic of Ireland U19 squad for the upcoming double header against the Czech Republic was announced today by manager Sean McCaffrey. The squad includes first team regulars James McCarthy of Hamilton Academicals and Sean Scannell of Crystal Palace and Ireland may struggle to get both players released for the friendly fixtures.

Katie Taylor returns to Senior Women's squad...22/01/2008
Republic of Ireland Senior Women's manager Noel King has included world boxing champion Katie Taylor in his eighteen player squad for the forthcoming triple bill of friendlies in preparation for the EURO 2009 qualifying match-up with Italy in Sardinia on Saturday 16 February 2008. Ireland face Holland, Poland and European Club champions Arsenal over the next two weeks.

Disappointing last gasp defeat for RISSC…20/01/2008
In a reversal of last week's winning drama, RISSC (London) were condemned to a 3-2 defeat by a late added time goal for Middlesbrough SC and find themselves back at the bottom of the APFSCIL League First Division.

Robert Brady makes winning debut ...20/01/2008
The former St Kevin's Boys Under 15 star Robbie Brady, formally joined Manchester United on his 16th birthday last week. Brady immediately made his debut for his new club's Under 18 Academy side and played the full 90 minutes in their 1-0 away victory over Liverpool.

Kilkenny City resign their League position...18/01/2008
The FAI today confirmed that Killkenny City FC has resigned from the Eircom League of Ireland First Division. Their place has been offered to and is likely to be accepted by the new North Dublin club, 'Sporting Fingal FC'.

UEFA appointment for Eircom Referee Alan Kelly…17/01/2008
Eircom League of Ireland referee Alan Kelly, who will be the guest speaker at the RISSC (London) meeting on 1 February 2008, has been appointed to officiate at the UEFA Cup tie between FC Zurich and Hamburg on 14 February 2008. He becomes the first Irish referee to receive such an appointment in more than 25 years.

Cusack clinches crucial points for RISSC…13/01/2008
An added time goal from centre back Mick Cusack, enabled the RISSC (London) football team to collect three crucial points from this afternoon's trip to Bristol City SC and climb off the bottom of the APFSCIL League First Division.

RISSC tumble to new year defeat…06/01/2008
The new year opened on a disappointing note for the RISSC (London) football team when they were defeated 4-1 by Aberdeen SC this afternoon. They remain bottom of the first division of the APFSCIL League. Next week, RISSC face Bristol City SC, who are also going through a torrid time, and victory will be crucial in the fight to avoid relegation.
