crash out of cup on Sunday afternoon...07/12/2008
APFSCIL League First Division leaders RISSC (London)
suffered major disappointment this afternoon when they were eliminated from
the Dave Baister Cup by Exeter City SC at the second round
stage. Despite taking an early lead through Mick Dunford, old
defensive frailties returned to haunt the side and the concession of three poor
goals, before the break, made negative inroads into confidence. Despite strikes
from Chris Coleman and Ricardo Paul the boys
must bid adieu to the cup and now focus on retaining their top of the table

at the Homeless World Cup in Melbourne. Ireland scored a 7-3
success over Poland in the quarter-final on
Saturday morning and followed up later in the day with an 8-5
defeat of Germany in the semi-final. They
now face Nigeria in the final on Sunday morning. Ireland

yesterday in the Secondary Stage of the Homeless World Cup in Melbourne
with two victories. Sucess, by 11-7 over Zimbabwe and 12-3
against Holland sent Ireland into the DignitaryCup today. Ireland now face Poland in the
quarter-final of the competition on Saturday

awards were announced at the Awards Banquet in the Hilton Hotel,
Grand Canal on Thursday 4 December 2008 with Double Winners
Bohemian FC repeating their on field success by winning both awards:- Personality
of the Year - Owen Heary (Bohemian FC),. Goalkeeper

Having topped Preliminary Group A at the Homeless World Cup, Ireland
suffered disappointment in the Secondary Stage in Melbourne
today. Ireland went down 6-8 in a tough opening match with Ukraine
and then lost 4-8 to England before overcoming Italy
in a penalty shoot-out following a five all draw.The remaining
ties against Holland and Zimbabwe take place
on Friday. Ireland
compete at Homeless World Cup...03/12/2008
The Homeless World Cup is currently taking place in Melbourne,
Australia and Ireland has qualified for the secondary group
stage following four successive victories to win Preliminary Group A. Ireland
opened their campaign on Monday, with an 11-2 trouncing of the USA
and followed up with an 8-2 defeat of Hong Kong on Tuesday.
The final two Group games took place today, Wednesday, and Ireland followed
up a 12-4 victory over Romania with an 11-2 defeat of France
later in the afternoon. Club
members make Zambia Orphanage Appeal...01/12/2008
Attendees at our meetings in October and November will be aware
that Club members Dave King, Cathal Chu and
Tom Feely will visit an Orphanage in Zambia over the Christmas

his exploratory cap and gown to provide us with another 'Cultural' review. The
topic is his September soujorn to Central Europe, on the commencement of what
we hope was the first stage of the road to the World Cup Finals in South Africa
2010.
